Unnecessary Heartbreaks.

In this journey that we call life, is there any other gift greater than love? The one that we have for our beautiful mothers because no one can understand us like she does. Or for our fathers. Or the bond, childhood memories and secrets that we share with our siblings. But with those listed previously, we share a unconditional love. I think the most beautiful love would be one that grows for someone that we haven’t always known. A complete stranger who comes along and changes your views and enlightens your mind. This force beyond a physical pull that draws you to them. How sweet and astounding it is the beginning? Difference with the ones that we are born loving is that losing them permanently someday can break our hearts, but an action of infidelity, lying, and carelessness can cause heartbreak with someone we grow to love. One word. One change in mood. Why is it that the thing that we desire the most as human beings calls for us to be vulnerable, and trust another flawed, imperfect human being with the most important things we have? Our heart? Our pride? We all have done wrong, so why do we put the one that we love on a pedestal and expect them never to do us wrong? Losing a parent is a pain that we all will have to bear. Saying goodbye to a sibling that has been with you every step of your life, and trying to cope with their absence is a horrible pain that I live with every day. But tell me is there anything worse than missing someone you didn’t have to love? And telling them secrets that they weren’t there to experience? And letting someone learn you that didn’t always know you? We never regret loving our families. And those friends that are still around. But the heartbreak that one puts on themselves, just by taking a chance and letting a stranger in, I find this heartbreak not be the most painful but definitely the most unnecessary heartbreak of them all.
darling, domo
